Entry Level Downhill/Freeride Board with Channel Trucks
The Scrub Quasar II is the second generation of the Quasar, and has been upgraded to provide the best combination of downhill board features in a low priced package. With its longer deck, adjustable channel trucks and larger tyres, the Quasar II is the perfect choice for downhill and free-riders in search of high performance and value for money.
99cm Maple Deck
At 99cm, the deck is the longest in the Scrub range, and has been modified with a new shape to keep the weight to a minimum. The added length helps to maintain stability when riding at higher speeds. Fitted with rubber grips.
Adjustable Channel Trucks
The quasar II is fitted with Scrub channel trucks, which are heavier, stronger and offer more adjustment options than skate style trucks. The new Scrub alloy channel trucks are tough and really lightweight. The truck springs can be moved further apart to fit the pre-drilled outside positions. This will increase steering resistance to suit heavier riders, improve stability and reduce speed wobble. Inside the springs, the new style rubber elastomer Dampas replace the elastomer eggshocks, giving more spring support for a firmer and more stable ride. The Dampas are available in different hardness ratings to allow the rider to further change the board's steering characteristics.
Larger 9" Tyres
The tyres have also been upgraded from 8" to 9" to improve performance and stability when being ridden over rough ground and at speed.
Improved Comfort Bindings
The new and improved Scrub Velcro comfort bindings with the double bolt fixings allow for better adjustment, are comfortable and secure, and won't move or fold during foot-outs.
